Environment To Mix Oil, Water, Clients And Teammates
Put everyone on the same page, about some things, while other issues get channeled just to who’s relevant
On a call yesterday, someone posed challenge to name the most essential, universal There.App value proposition. Our software is a broad-scope suite, and the initial draw to get started may be something specific within that breadth like ability to see live teammate locations, or task tracking that confirms activities being to-plan, or high-polish presentation of event photos and videos to underscore excellent production. But successful use elevates above such specific considerations, and demonstrates the value of having a single, focused, go-to resource availing whatever’s the moment’s most relevant information, communication or execution.
Instead of different systems for schedules, files, directories, checklists, maps and messaging, sometimes multiple redundant systems, some perhaps not accessible to certain key people, and each tending to introduce distractions outside of the project at hand – There.App is a streamlined environment that combines familiar and consistent approaches across all of these needs. Robust work-flows support on-point operations, and on-theme polish is well suited for extending to clients. It’s the environment for everyone involved.
Bringing together that scope and usage diversity can introduce new challenges for certain sorts of projects that are especially massive, complex or sensitive about who’s accessing what. Perhaps everyone involved should see the high-level run-of-show schedule, but only paying clients should see budget files, and only the operating team should be processing task lists. Sometimes diverse team populations and project information mix like coffee and cream, and sometimes channeling accesses should separate more like oil and water.
Our mix of currently 11 There.App modules is designed and developed for common needs of managing on-location projects, and the company’s roadmap incorporates planning to more than double that count. Of course this expansion further heightens the challenge to assure user productivity and focus on what matters. Our accommodations include fluid combination of items from across modules to spotlight priorities through features like pinning, starring and messaging. The June 2026 There.App release includes several additional advances responsive to customer focus on organizing complex projects and managing access sensitivities.
Now, all There.App projects include capabilities for administrators to select which modules are and are not in use. Is location-sharing inappropriate among the particular group of people? Is curating information from across a project into a consolidated board overkill? Are task lists inconsistent with nature of the gathering and its activities? Any of these modules can be simply turned off within a project to make it more lightweight and focused on what’s most important.
Furthermore, even if a module may make sense for a project, that doesn’t mean all of its contents are appropriate for every team member. So this release also includes introductions of access-controls for specific items within modules. Whenever something is being added, it starts (before being saved) with a prominent green open padlock icon indicating that by default it would be available to the full team, but then a single tap converts the icon to red and closed, and the item immediately becomes maximally private, only accessible to the person adding. From there this person can further specify exactly which teammates will have ability to see, act on or edit the items.
We are introducing these There.App advances with care we always put into our software, to balance comprehensiveness for whatever may matter with focus to not get distracted by what doesn’t matter. Capabilities to turn modules on and off, and to precisely set access controls by item, are provided in ways that are streamlined for concealment when not relevant, and also always a tap or two away for clear and focused usage when they are relevant. These sorts of priorities we believe really make There.App shine as an effective solution that resonates across our broad scope of capabilities while keeping users focused on the moment’s priorities and fully engaged in their live, real-world activities.
